I took this shot in the green Aravalis of Rajasthan. Don’t miss the socialising birds chatting away their time. Even the old hag in the centre is busy sharing its bit.
These rose-ringed (ring around neck), red beak and blue-tailed friends are native to our India, and Africa. They have shades of yellow on the neck and under feathers. Usually 16inches in size and weigh only 130gm.
These pleasantly noisy birds are very intelligent and feast on fruits and seeds. Alas, how can humans capture and cage such beautiful birds for their pleasure!
